Wonderful place celebrating our 25th Anniversary and it's absolutely exceeded our expectations!! The room was clean nicely furnished, jacuzzi tub overlooking the ocean was perfect with a back covered porch to sit on and take in the ocean. The no children or pets is a bonus when you are wanting an adult atmosphere and getting away for a bit of romantic time. Everything was perfect and we will return again to this wonderful property. The front desk staff are professional kind and very informative. Thanks for making our 25th anniversary perfect.

32" LED TV was dead. In 45 minutes. They add new LG 55". Way better. We love this place..

We had one of the Bella rooms. It was fabulous. 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and a porch hot tub. Yea! The main part of the room was huge, so roomy. Great able for cards, eating, whatever. The view, spectacular. We had a wonderful time. I can never be at the coast for to long. You just take in a big breath of peaceful place. Thank you Starfish. Jeni

Absolutely wonderful stay! I had a room overlooking the ocean with a jet tub. The staff were so nice, room was clean, and everything about my stay was perfect. Photo is from my balcony. 10/10 would recommend!!

First time staying here and it was beautiful. The view from the jacuzzi tub was amazing, room was clean, bed was cozy, friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.

Second stay in a nautical room, stayed here maybe two years ago when they were still doing renovations and at the time the nautical room had a funky smell(not the case now). Even then I swore I had left a 5 star review. For the price, location, view and hotel being adult only great for a that "get away from the kids weekend", love the jacuzzi tub in the room used it multiple times, the sound of the ocean with just a sliding glass door open .

People expecting a 5 star resort for 100-150 dollars a night are high or drunk. I like to travel to see various concerts and usually book budget hotels as just a place to sleep. These little flea bag hotels cost more than Starfish manor, without the ocean view, patio, Jacuzzi, comfortable beds with nice linens, fireplace, kitchenettes, and (in this particular case) a private entrance located right next to our car. I'm baffled by all the reviews that are angry this isn't a Super 8. This hotel is clearly advertised as a couple's destination. Child friendly hotels don't have 2 person showers or in-room two person tubs. I personally loved having a place AWAY FROM CHILDREN ( I am a mom and needed the break) to get away with my husband for a romantic weekend. I cannot count how many times my hotel stays at various places have been ruined by crying babies or unsupervised children of entitled parents running in the halls. My last hotel stay before this one did have continental breakfast, but someone with ... not exaggerating ... 9 children absolutely destroyed the buffet before I got to it and made the dining area unbearable. You aren't being persecuted for having children, there is just a time and a place to bring your rugrats and a hotel clearly advertised as a getaway for anniversaries and honeymoons ain't it. There are a thousand hotels up and down the coast. Don't be mad that this one isn't for you. Same goes for dogs. You don't have a right to bring your kids and dogs everywhere at the detriment of other people. Their policies and purpose are very clearly stated on their website. Pro tip: NEVER book a room, without visiting the actual hotel website! With that rant over, I was really pleasantly surprised by our stay. I actually said WOW when I entered our room as I had booked 2 nights for about 300 dollars, so I was a little apprehensive about quality and cleanliness. Again, I have paid more for fleabag hotels on numerous occasions. I was not expecting a nice kitchenette, two person shower, robes, ENDLESS hot water, a clean and comfortable bed, or a grassy area with Adirondack chairs right outside our door to view the beach. The room had nice CLEAN actual cotton sheets and nice towels (both things I tend to judge a hotel over). The room smelled clean and fresh. If I had to dig for cons, the caulking in the shower could use replacing. And the dimmer for the lights was malfunctioning causing the lights to go up and down, which was slightly annoying but not a deal breaker. Otherwise, we were very comfortable for our 2 night stay and enjoyed the quiet private atmosphere. I spent 3 hours straight just soaking in the tub. Again, this is not a Super 8, but has better than Super 8 prices. If you want a dirty over chlorinated pool, screaming children, messy loud breakfast at 7AM, and dog hair ... stay someplace else. I was very happy with the quiet and privacy. And CLEANLINESS. Infact I was surprised by just how private our stay was with an unexpected private entrance right by our car. We would and will stay here again. Staff was friendly and the place is perfect for it's clearly stated purpose. The negative reviews are just that ... People being negative.
